Christian Apologetics Alliance
Answering non-believers, equipping believers, and demonstrating the truth of the Christian worldview

About Us

The Christian Apologetics Alliance is a group of Christians spread throughout the world with a common goal. We seek to love and serve God with all of our minds, and to be prepared to give a reasonable answer for why we believe as we do to those seeking Jesus Christ. Within CAA we seek to employ the tools of logic, science, history, archaeology and theology to provide a rational defense of our worldview. It is our hope that the information on these pages will inform and edify believers, strengthen the faith of those with questions, and open the door for those unbelievers willing to consider the Christian worldview.

Who We Are

Simply put, we're Christians. We don't fit into one particular mold and we don't come from one particular background. Within the Christian Apologetics Alliance you will find Catholics and Protestants, Calvinists and Arminians, Young Earth Creationists and Theistic Evolutionists. What does unite us, however, is a deep love for Jesus Christ and a devotion to lifting each other up as we serve God and share our faith to a lost and hurting world. While you will find many Christian academics within our group, we are open to any Christian interested in learning more about their faith. Our group is composed of high school and college students, interested laypeople and professionals from many different backgrounds, all the way up to world-renowned scholars who have devoted their lives to the cause of Christ.

What We Believe

We believe that the modern world needs Christians who are prepared to give the reasons for the hope that is within us, and at the Christian Apologetics Alliance we are dedicated to that mission. We have created a community where Christians can learn from each other, ask the hard questions of our faith, and receive the support of a loving community of Christian thinkers. While any group of this size will always have divergent views at many different points, we are united by the Apostles' Creed, which all of us affirm (and which we ask all of our members to affirm).

Check out our statement of faith below for details.

Statement of Faith

The Christian Apologetics Alliance (CAA) is an evangelical, non-denominational Christian ministry. Although we have a wide variety of Christian beliefs among our members, the CAA does not, as an organization, have positions on many of the doctrinal or theological debates that take place within the church. While we do believe that many of these issues are significant, our primary concern is to promote the gracious, rational defense of the central claims of Christianity and the critique of opposing systems of thought. As a statement of faith, the CAA agrees with and holds to the Apostles' Creed: I believe in God the father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, ...suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into the place of the dead; on the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven; he sits at the right hand of the Father almighty; he shall come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the remission of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life eternal. Amen. NOTE: the phrase "the holy universal church" does not refer to a particular denomination. Instead, it refers to the universal Christian church without regard to specific denomination.

Given that the doctrine of universalism--that all will eventually be saved, even those who explicitly reject the gospel--is contrary to Scripture and to the Apostles' Creed ("From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead"), those who hold this belief are asked not to join the CAA, and holding it is grounds for expulsion from the group.

Friends and Partners

The Christian Apologetics Alliance is currently the primary 'network of networks' for the global apologetics community. The membership of the CAA encompasses every continent. It includes high school students who are just learning to defend their faith with reason and senior leaders of respected apologetics organizations. It includes both men and women, from a wide variety of vocations, from hundreds of denominations. But in all of our diversity, we share a love for God and a passion for apologetics.

We are in the process of developing more formal partnerships with a variety of other institutions and organizations. Our goal is to find mutually beneficial ways of connecting with other groups for the advance of the gospel.
